Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of JDVA — Jarvis Desktop Voice Assistant ("JDVA"), including supported connected-service features.

By using JDVA or authorizing a connected service for use with JDVA, you acknowledge these Terms of Service.

1. Description of JDVA

JDVA is a desktop-assistant system designed to help users interact with supported local and connected services through controlled, user-authorized workflows.

JDVA functionality may include assistant features, information retrieval, automation, diagnostics, communications, integrations, and other capabilities made available through the system.

2. User authorization and control

Certain JDVA functions may require explicit user authorization before they can access a connected service or perform an action.

Users are responsible for reviewing authorization requests and deciding whether to grant the requested permissions.

Where a feature uses Google services, authorization is provided through Google's OAuth consent process. Users may revoke previously granted Google access through their Google Account controls.

3. Connected services

JDVA may interact with third-party or connected services only when such functionality is configured and authorized.

Availability and operation of connected services may depend on external providers, network connectivity, service availability, account status, API policies, permissions, and other conditions outside JDVA's direct control.

Use of a third-party service remains subject to that provider's applicable terms, policies, and account requirements.

4. Appropriate use

Users must use JDVA lawfully and in a manner consistent with the permissions and authority available to them.

Users must not use JDVA to:

• gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or information;
• circumvent security or authorization controls;
• interfere with or disrupt systems or services;
• misrepresent their identity, authority, or permissions;
• violate applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights; or
• direct JDVA to perform an action that the user is not authorized to perform.

5. User responsibility

Users remain responsible for reviewing consequential actions before authorizing them and for confirming that instructions provided to JDVA are accurate and appropriate.

Assistant-generated information should be reviewed where accuracy, safety, financial impact, legal effect, privacy, security, or another material consequence is involved.

6. Privacy and Google user data

JDVA's handling of personal information and Google user data is described in the JDVA Privacy Policy.

Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Security and credentials

Users are responsible for protecting the devices, accounts, credentials, and authentication methods associated with their use of JDVA.

Users should promptly revoke or update authorizations if they believe an account, credential, token, or connected device has been compromised.

8. Availability and changes

JDVA may be updated, modified, restricted, suspended, or discontinued as functionality, security requirements, connected-service requirements, technical conditions, or applicable policies change.

Individual features may become temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, external service outages, connectivity failures, security controls, or other technical conditions.

JDVA may assist with information organization, retrieval, analysis, and workflow execution, but it is not a substitute for qualified professional judgment where professional advice or decision-making is required.

Users should independently verify information before relying on JDVA for decisions involving material legal, financial, medical, safety, security, or other significant consequences.

11. Intellectual property

JDVA, its original software, branding, documentation, website content, and associated materials remain subject to applicable intellectual property rights.

These Terms do not grant ownership of JDVA or its underlying intellectual property to users.

12. Third-party materials

JDVA may rely on or interact with third-party software, APIs, services, libraries, platforms, or other materials. Those materials remain subject to their respective licenses, policies, and terms.

13. Suspension or restriction

Access to a feature may be restricted or disabled when reasonably necessary to protect security, comply with applicable law or provider policy, prevent unauthorized activity, preserve system integrity, or respond to material misuse.

14. Changes to these Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated as JDVA functionality, connected services, security requirements, or applicable policies change.

The current version will be published on this page together with its effective date.

15. Relationship to the Privacy Policy

These Terms of Service should be read together with the JDVA Privacy Policy.
